Our year 7 Food Technology class had a great time making the all time culinary favourite “ Pain Perdu “ –French Toast. They enjoyed learning about the properties of eggs and how they are used in this recipe to bind all the ingredients together to make a delicious breakfast or brunch. Students were taught about the origins of this recipe and how traditionally, hard, left over bread was dipped into an egg and milk mixture and fried. A great way to consume left over bread during the week. Our French toast was enjoyed with a variety of toppings and a glass of orange juice. A huge thank you to our wonderful Food Tech assistants Maureen and Angela who are always on hand to make sure everything runs smoothly.
