On Monday 17 February, our intermediate boys cricket team competed in the Kingston Division competition at Caulfield. In our first game we defeated McKinnon SC by 8 runs after making 1/85 batting first. We had a marvellous contribution from our openers Callum Hankin (50 runs) and Shaun Heenan (30 runs). Our bowling attack was lead well by Callum Hankin, Bailey Fitzsimon and Shane Levy.
In our second match against Mordialloc SC, we batted first and started well with our openers Callum Hankin (20 runs) and Shaun Heenan (26 runs) building an important partnership enabled us to post a competitive total of 2/58 after the 8 overs. Unfortunately, despite the successful bowling of Jackson Hill, Callum Hankin and Shane Levy we were not able to secure victory with Mordialloc SC reaching the total with two balls to spare.
In our third game, we defeated Parkdale with impressive batting contributions from Shane Levy (22), Bailey Fitzsimon, Harrison Zandberg and Shaun Heenan. Overall we finished third in the competition. Our team included; Callum Hankin (captain), Bailey Fitzsimon, Shane Levy, Harrison Zandberg, Shaun Heenan, Oliver Campbell, Jackson Hill, Cooper Bryant, Oscar Oorloff, Jackson Leopold, Zac Milner, Marcus Lay and Kyle Wagner.
Well done to all boys!
