Year 9 Advance Camp - Cathedral Ranges

As part of the Year 9 Learning Journey Advance program, students are required to undertake an 'Adventurous Journey' as a requirement of their Duke of Edinburgh Award.

The students will be completed a 15km bushwalk during the overnight stay.  Our students travelled to the Cathedral Ranges, Taggerty.
Cathedral Ranges has rich Indigenous history and incredible natural environments. It offers a number of circuit walks and has a remote atmosphere; although being in such a close proximity to the city. The students undertook a number of hiking activities throughout camp in preparation for their two week camp in Bogong. The hikes included the track hike starting from Sugarloaf Saddle carpark walking along Messmate Track, and finishing at Ned’s Gully Campground. The second hike started from Ned’s Peak and finished at Ned’s Gully Campground.
