Outdoor and Environmental Studies
VCE - OES

This 3-day experience, held from 31/07/2024 to 02/08/2024 in the Grampians Region of Western Victoria covered Key Knowledge points from both:
  • Unit 2 Area of Study 1 and 2 and
  • Unit 4 Area of Study 1 and 2.

Topics covered practically include:
  • flora & fauna adaptation,
  • sustainable outdoor environments,
  • indicators of environmental health and
  • why healthy outdoor environments are important and threatening processes including introduced species and climate change.

These Key Knowledge and Key Skills from the OES Study Design was taught through activities including:
  • rock climbing
  • hiking
  • abseiling
  • scientific water testing and
  • canoeing


Students also visited Ararat and Halls Gap during the experience
