Year 9 Holocaust Museum
As part of the Year 9 history program, our students experienced a profound and unforgettable journey at the In Touch with Memory workshop, held at the Melbourne Holocaust Museum. Guided by powerful artefacts and survivor testimonies, they gained a deeper understanding of the Holocaust and its lasting impact on humanity.
We were especially privileged to hear from Holocaust survivor Joe Szwarcberg, a Bentleigh resident who, for many years, operated a shoe shop on Jasper Road. His personal story and resilience left an indelible impression upon the students.
Our heartfelt gratitude extends to Mr. Szwarcberg and the Melbourne Holocaust Museum for sharing this essential part of history with us.
