We had the pleasure of welcoming girls from our neighbouring Primary Schools - Hughesdale Primary SchoolOrmond Primary SchoolTucker Road Bentleigh Primary SchoolCoatsville Primary School and Bentleigh West Primary School. A day to celebrate and inspire woman in science and embrace equity. All students were truely wonderful and we are grateful to be able to share the day with them all.

Yakult - Business Management Area of Study 3

A compulsory event, for our Year 12 Busniess Management students. Our Students appliedy their knowledge of Operations Management by observing the day to day operations of the Yakult factory.
The production of goods and services is a core objective of businesses. Students gathered information during this excursion regarding operations management and considered the best and most responsible use of available resources to produce a quality final good or service in a competitive, global environment.
Thank you for having us Yakult Australia, It was a wonderful experience for our students !

Kids in Philanthropy

On March 17 we welcomed The Kids In Philanthropy (KIP) a not-for-profit organisation who worked with our Year 10 students. In conjunction with charity partners, KIP creates bespoke volunteering programs for schools and other organisations.
They aim to give participants the opportunity to learn about social issues within their community and then directly help those doing it tough. Today with the Melbourne Youth Bus, Father Bob and TaskForce they created over 1300 cards, breakfast bags and tea bags to be distributed to the local and wider community in our area.
We are grateful to be apart of this opportunity to help give back and proud of our students for their effort today.

Students VS Teachers

Everyone loves the healthy competition between staff and students. Our volleyball teams had fun on the court and although the competition was tough, the teachers took the win 2-0 for the ladies & 2-1 for the men. Well done to all players and the active cheer squad who came along and enjoyed the game

Masterchefs in the Kitchen

Our Masterchefs have been cooking up a storm and getting 10/10 for their Greek Koulouria Bagels, Hot Cross Bun Cookies and Decorative Shortbreads. I don't think many of the items made it home but maybe the students can make them again over the holiday break.

VET Pathways

Mr Tissera, Head of Year 10 and Ms Poulos, our Career and Pathways Coordinator visited our VET students onsite at Holmesglen Chadstone campus, to support their pathway and see them in action as they built their cubby house and created their mosaic tiling masterpieces. Our students are inspirational.

Year 12 Art

Our Year 12 Art Making and Exhibiting class participated in an interactive gallery experience at the NGV, Buxton Contemporary Gallery, The Ian Potter Centre and Hosier Lane. The students were inspired by the conservation, curation and design of the current exhibit 'China - the Past is Present'.

Year 10 Mock Job Interviews

As a part of our Year 10 Learning Leadership curriculum, students took part in mock interviews with our teachers. This is a great way to learn how to identify and promote their personal strengths, improve communication skills and build confidence in a supportive environment. Practice makes perfect.
