Principal’s Message May

Our amazing musicians attended the Mount Gambier Jazz Festival which attracts seasoned musicians and offers a unique experience for students from near and far.

As they step into the world of jazz, they are greeted with a kaleidoscope of musical genres, from smooth and sultry tunes to high-energy improvisation. The festival provides a platform for students to immerse themselves in the rich history and styles of jazz, broadening their musical horizons and sparking their creativity.

The Mount Gambier Jazz Festival is not just about watching performances; it is about participation. Students can engage in workshops and masterclasses led by seasoned jazz musicians. These sessions are a window into the world of professional musicianship, where students can learn from the best, refine their skills, and explore the intricacies of jazz improvisation and composition.

It is an educational journey that nurtures their passion for music and builds their capacity as they move through the music program at Bentleigh.
