They joined other Secondary and Primary school students from Victoria, keeping the ANZAC Spirit alive by commemorating ANZAC Day and the sacrifices made by the brave men and women who have served our country.
This ANZAC Commemoration Ceremony for Students was also live streamed.
Her Excellency Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, Governor of Victoria were in attendance to address the students and the ceremony included Defence Force Cadets, school band & choir and a RAAF fly-over.
Also on Thursday 25 April, our SRC representatives attended a memorable ANZAC Day event at our local Bentleigh RSL ! It's wonderful to see our student leaders taking part in such important commemorations, alongside community leaders like Yvette Herft, our 2024 School Council President and Nick Staikos.
Our honoured Senior College Captains laid a wreath on behalf of the school.
Lest we forget indeed!
Congratulations to Andrew J, Nicola S and Zac N who competed on Monday 22 April in the SMR and State diving competition at MSAC. They qualified due to achieving top 3 performances at the Kingston Carnival in March.

The IBL project is a guided inquiry-based project. Students work through the process of setting up a food-based business.
Students are off grid for one week working with their normal timetabled teachers (no ‘normal’ timetabled classes). Students still attend their electives and Year level Sport class.
Throughout this project, the goal is to engage students with their learning. We give them the space to learn something new and move them away from a ‘we do a project to get a mark on our reports’ mindset.
A series of student goals have been developed as our ‘success criteria’ for students with the aim of developing their 21st century skills.
What an exciting event! It is fantastic to see the opportunities provided to students through the annual Careers Expo at Bentleigh Secondary College. Offering access to various tertiary institutions and training organizations, along with innovative experiences like Virtual Reality, can truly ignite students' curiosity and passion for their future careers. The collaboration between the no less than the twenty-three exhibitors and students is shaping a future filled with endless possibilities. Congratulations on hosting such a successful event!

Immersing students in real-world operations at a company like Yakult Australia can offer them firsthand exposure to concepts they learn in the classroom. Students applied their knowledge of Operations Management by observing the day-to-day operations of the Yakult factory. The production of goods and services is a core objective of businesses. Effective management of the process of transforming inputs into outputs is vital to the success of a business, both in terms of maximising the efficiency and effectiveness of the production process and meeting the needs of stakeholders.
Students gathered information during this excursion regarding operations management and assessed the best and most responsible use of available resources to produce a quality final good or service in a competitive, global environment.
Events like these not only promote physical activity but also foster a sense of community and teamwork among students and staff. Congratulations to all participants for their effort and sportsmanship.
