Tuesday, 6 August 2024 our Vocational Major (VM) cohort went on an excursion to Oasis Bakery, to support research about cultural food and events.
We were warmly welcomed by Marwa Makool, the owner and founder of Oasis, and the author of two wonderful cookbooks.
During our tour, Marwa shared her inspiring journey of starting Oasis and the many considerations that go into building and nurturing a community-focused business. Our students gained valuable insights into entrepreneurship, business development, and the importance of community support.
