GAT 2026
The GAT is a paper test of general knowledge and skills taken by students while completing their senior secondary studies. No additional study is required to prepare for the GAT. 

The General Achievement Test (GAT) will take place on Tuesday 16 June 2026. All students who currently study a Unit 3-4 subject, including Year 12 Vocational Major (VM) students must complete the GAT. GAT advice slips have been given to all students required to sit the test.

Students must arrive at school by 8:00am and be dressed in full school uniform, including their blazer.

Section A:  Literacy (reading and writing) and Numeracy

9:00 – 9:15am: Reading time

9:15 – 11:15am: Writing time to complete Section A

Section B: General knowledge and skills

1:15 – 1:30pm: Reading time

1:30 – 3:00pm: Writing time to complete Section B
